A new event and a virgin route await Castrol Team Toyota’s Special Production class Toyota Hilux bakkies in round three of the Absa South African Off Road Car Championship in KwaZulu-Natal this weekend.
   
2011 Toyota Dealer Gauteng Rally
The 2011 Toyota Dealer Gauteng Rally that will be held on 10 and 11 June will start at Carnival City near Johannesburg. The change in the start venue has been necessitated by the rule changes regarding tar made by the Rally Commission's Technical Committee according to the Pretoria Motor Club Chairman, Theuns Joubert.

Rautenbach sneaks close win on HMC Hencom Autobody Rally
In a dramatic event that saw the top three finishers swop places in each of the last three special stages, Zimbabwe’s Conrad Rautenbach and French co-driver Nicolas Klinger (class S2000 G-Fuel Ford Fiesta) won the HMC Hencom Autobody Rally, round three of the South African Rally Championship, which finished in Emalahleni (Mpumalanga) this afternoon.

Rautenbach drives a blinder of a stage on SS10 and takes lead
Zimbabwean Conrad Rautenbach perhaps kept his best for last in his G-Fuel Ford Fiesta Ford RS. Rautenbach completed the penultimate stage on the HMC Hencom Rally, stage ten, in a time of 11:10.9 to take the lead with just the short final stage to go. He was at the top of the leaderboard with an overall time of 1:32:57.8.
   
Poulter loses big time in stage 9
The Team Castrol Toyota Auris crew of Leeroy Poulter/Elvene Coetzee had a disastrous stage 9 when they lost just over 12 minutes. The alternator of the car fell off and after fixing it they had to push start the car to get going again. Poulter was in 4th overall at the time when it happened.

Gemmell flies on stage 7 on HMC Hencom Rally
Johnny Gemmell in the Team Castrol Toyota Auris absolutely flew on special stage 7 of the HMC Hencom Autobody Rally taking some 23 seconds of Conrad Rautenbach in the G-Fuel Ford Fiesta RS to move into second place overall.
