The annual Witzenberg Motorklub, West Coast Midas Treasure Hunt will start at the popular Casablanca Holiday resort on Saturday 28 August 2004 and promises to be another fantastic family oriented fun event where cryptic clues will (hopefully) see all the cars entered reach their destination? Might not quite be along the same route as planned by the intrepid Neville Gleeson and John McLinden but normally everyone wears an enormous grin and the stories that follow make the prizegiving the social gathering of the year. Casablanca have opened their doors wide to accommodate the event and early indications are that we might see some varied machinery present on the day. This is non competitive motorsport at its very best!

Documentation opens at 10h00 on Saturday 28 August 2004 with the first team starting their epic adventure at 12h00. Though cars will be leaving at 5min intervals, take note that your watch must read 12h00 at the exact start time as penalties will be applied accordingly. Teams will consist of a driver and navigator per entry, but as many have proven in the past more than one team may be present in a single car. Some bigger families incorporate all the kids as navigators, which normally have Dad wishing he was someplace else by the end of the event. Contact details of a good divorce lawyer will be provide afterwards for those husband and wife combinations who did not agree on the instructions. ( Fortunately most couples speak to each other again by the time prizegiving have been completed )

Bridge number?

Weather will not influence any aspect of this event so pack the car and come and test your local knowledge. Be warned, you do not know the area as well as you think you do !

Important Notice! Provision will be made for a caretaker for children from two years of age to remain at the start venue for the duration of the event (12h00 till 17h30) at a nominal fee. Please let us know whether this service will be required so that we can make the proper arrangements.
