Class A8 leader - Jan Habig
Habig currently leads Class A8 with 176, ten points ahead of a charging Enzo Kuun. This simply means that Habig will have to finish within 5 positions from Kuun to take the championship home.

The worst scenario for Habig would be a non finish, which would mean that Kuun needs only a 10th overall to win the Championship by one point, if Habig finishes in 3rd position and Kuun wins overall, Habig will loose by one point! It seems a given that Kuun will pull out all the stops to win overall, and Habig will not be able to take it “easy” at all. The worse he can afford, if Kuun wins, is second overall. If Serge wins, and Kuun takes second place, Habig will have to finish fourth, as a fifth will cost him the Championship by one point.

If a Group N4 car slips in, something that can happen, the equations will change somewhat, as the class scores will then be affected. To be absolutely on the safe side, Habig will have to win!

Class A7 - but only just! Tjaart vd Walt
Tjaart van der Walt leads Etienne Lourens by a mere 2 points in Class A7, but they will not only be fighting for the Class crown, they will also be aiming for third place in the overall championship. Hergen Fekken is also still very much in line to take the A7 title away from them both.

Serge Damseaux with nothing really to lose will of course try to nail them all to the wall, and walk away with at least third place in the overall Championship. He may let Etienne of JP slip by if it could affect their situation. The latter is more wishful thinking for them, than anything else.

    A6 leader JP Damseaux

JP Damseaux (Overall A6 1st on 98 points) is chased by Craig Trott and no love will be lost in this battle.

Dean Sanders (N2) has almost got N2 in the bag, and anything else but a steady finish will be foolish.

Current N2 Leader - Dean Sanders

In N4 Rueda is leading on 93 points followed by Leon Botha who has done three less rallies for the season. A steady run by Rueda will or at least should secure the title for him, but Botha will have to throw everything he can at the Mitsubishi driver.

If Rueda does not finish, Botha will still have to get a third overall to take the title away. N4 therefore seems sort of decided. None of the drivers in the top 20 has a rally in reserve and everybody has dropped at least one. This means that the top ten positions, with exception of the top two, can change dramatically as competitors fall by the wayside.

Class A5 leader - Rodney Visagie.
Rodney Visagie has got A5 in the bag, but the fight for second lace is still open. Third place in this class is safe in the hands of Michael Houghton, who however has a chance to move to second place in A5.

N3 is as safe as it comes, even if Geoff Mortimer and Gerry Gericke ignore the last rally, as they did the Subaru Cape event, when Gericke navigated for Leon Botha, they will win this class with ease.
Home and dry in Class N3 - Geoff Mortimer

Class N1 is almost safe in the hands of Gregory Bloomer, with a very slight chance of an upset by Vusi Mabanga.

And that is it – you can have a look at the complete analysis by clicking in the block right top.

All we can say is that the last rally will be one hell of a rally!
