It is so often that we lose track of the fact that we are only temporary beings and then when it is too late we are sorry.
Yesterday, 31st March I spoke to John Ogden to find out in which hospital Sue, his wife was. We discussed her illness and although John said that she was serious, he added that her condition was steady.
We planned on how to fit a quick visit in before we left for Cape Town for the Toyota Dealer Rally. If I could not make it, at least my wife would be able to.
Then this morning early I received a call from my friend John Ogden, and when I saw his name on the phone – I knew what I did not want to hear. Before answering the phone I quickly asked, “please God let it be about the regional rally and not Sue”.
We need not make any plans to visit anymore, we need not worry how we will be able to fit in a “quick visit” because once again my stupid belief that a friend will be alright – came to nothing.
Gone is the single moment we planned to fit it where we would be able to say a simple “come on old girl – we need you for the rally” or crack a little joke to try and cheer everyone up.
Sue Ogden – firstly friend, PMC member, and one of the most loyal supporters I have ever known will not be able to see us or take a call anymore. She sadly passed away last night after a short illness.
Our deepest sympathy with John Ogden, vice Chairman of PMC and also Clerk of the Course on many National and regional rallies.
John, although the team has been split up, we will all be there for you and your family, and we will always miss her support and inspiration.

FUNERAL:
The funeral service for Sue will be held on Friday 4th April 2008 at 14h00.
The service will take place n the Anglican Church Lotus Street Sunwood Park Boksburg.
