Total Tour - so far so good
author: Leon Botha
So far so good after day One - depending in which team you are.
This report is going to be very short due to a lack of information mostly - and the fact that Mohammed Moosa made us all run around a bit late yesterday afternoon.
A private war broke out after stage One when Enzo managed to open up a start gap of 3.2 seconds over Habig and 3.3 over Hergen.
Habig did not have a great second stage when he went sideways and clipped somehting with the fron fender, but Hergen stayed in touch. Enzo won the stage as well while Conrad Rautenbach moved up to third overall.
Hergen retaliated in SS3 and moved into the lead by 2.4s, but then in the last stage of the day Enzo pulled all stops and blitzed through the stage in a scary time to chip off no less than 8 seconds from Hergen to re-take the overall led.
At end Day One Enzo leads by 4.1 from Hergen, then follows Cronje on +28.7, 4th is Rautenbach +34.8; 5th Gemmell +37.3; 6th Habig+40.7; 7th Wilken +45.9; 8th Van Niekerk+53.1
