WHAT CAN ONE SAY?

WHAT CAN ONE SAY?
In an article "There is a time to acknowledge" I wrote a few days ago, I asked you for your opinion or at least to say something about "what you think?" about the present situation in the SA rally scenario.
Let me be honest - whenever I ask for opinions I think by myself, like the Yankies say about everything including any war they are involved in to keep their economy going, "Yeah, whatever!" or is it "Yeah, whatever?" ?
Normally the response is poor and typical of us in South Africa - although it is probably a world-wide problem, except maybe in true-Africa where you toy-toy your way in and out of problems? - we are all reluctant and maybe too lazy to lift the hands and type away to express our concern, displeasure, satisfaction or whatever it is, bugging us? We always seem to believe that someone else will phone, write or shout about it?
BIG MISTAKE I made - this time people reacted and goodness knows did they react!!
At this stage it is difficult to get all the points sorted as some of the readers and competitors changed to overdrive while they were at it, and I am still trying to get through all the replies - not just read through them, but think about the content carefully.
Notwithstanding this I would like to get even more input from more of you! We are so close to really proving that we are not content with second best anymore that this could be the opportunity we have been waiting for?
Do not think your opinion will be reflected by someone else and even if it is, the more we get, the stronger the stand will be we can make.
We can only do something really constructive after combining the replies - - we can only react after we analyse what we see as PROBLEMS with the sport.
Rallystar is in a wonderful position to be read by at least 5 000 people - when I say "read" I mean thoroughly - not those who click in, look-see and go back to wherever they have been entertained as well.
We have over 2000 regular readers from overseas but cannot really expect them to comment on local stuff although we always appreciate their input, that allow us to compare what happens locally and see where we stand?
For once we received letters from sponsors, competitors, fans and even one from a member of a service crew! The latter was truly a bit of an eye opener as we never really think about their role - let alone their well being?
The majority so far ... hang on, thinking about it - let me rather see if we do not get some more objective opinions from you instead of telling you what other persons wrote. I will be honest - I can not wait to sum up what has been said and tell you about some of the proposals - but lets get your opinion as well.
May I ask you to read the article "There is a time to acknowledge..." again if you need to know what this is all about.
You are welcome to use the email at the bottom of that article or if you remember what it is all about use this one

Your letters and replies will be read in confidence and nothing will be published or you name mentioned except with your permission.
Please assist us in this genuine effort to get the sport back on track and to grow it to its full potential.
