"Hallo Sheila, on your way to the races are you mate?"

Australian Mark Webber in a Red Bull Renault deprived Lewis Hamilton in a McLaren Mercedes from scoring a win in front of his home crowd at Silverstone in the Santander British Grand Prix this afternoon. Webber managed to take the lead from the start followed by Hamilton.
He turned anger into an astonishing British Grand Prix win as Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel again failed to convert pole into victory. Webber was involved in an astonishing crash in the previous round of the Formula 1 championship, the European Grand Prix held at Valencia.
Vettel sustained a puncture after making the faintest of contact with Lewis Hamilton on the first corner during an enthralling start in front of a 120,000-strong crowd at a sunny Silverstone.
Webber eventually claimed his third win of the year by 1.3 seconds from McLaren's Hamilton, who has extended his championship lead to 12 points.
Mercedes' Nico Rosberg claimed third, depriving Jenson Button of his first podium on home soil as the Briton climbed 10 places from 14th on the grid to claim fourth.
After the race Webber said over the in car broadcast intercom, "not bad for a number two driver - was it?" after having to let Vettel use his cars apparently superior nose cone during qualifying!
The final result was:
1 Mark Webber Red Bull 01:24:38.200
