Izak van Zyl and Danye Louw might have been the winners of the 4th Fairbridge Mall Brackenfell Gymkhana on Saturday 17 July 2010 but the normally dominant class G Dynotech VW Golf GTi 2.0 Turbo was kept under pressure by the truly impressive class A Mazda Rustler LDV 2.0 16v of Fanie du Toit and Kobus Wilson Jnr.

Sadly the Mazda broke CV's on two consecutive runs but with the fastest time of the day 1min08.94 substantially quicker than anyone else they have certainly lifted gymkhana events to a new level. Brothers-in-law, Jehan de Jongh and Danye Louw once again drove brilliantly to place their class C VW Golf MkI 1600 second overall. Günther and Louise Appelgryn achieved third overall with a brilliant final run in their class B VW Golf MkI 1800.

Fourth overall saw André Dreyer and Patrick Vermaak really trying hard in the Weskaap Bakwerke class A VW Golf GTi 2.0 16v. Fanie du Toit and Kobus Wilson Jnr eventually placed fifth overall, but this is going to be the team to beat in future!
