Lorenzo wins at Laguna Seca

Jorge Lorenzo claimed victory in the United States Grand Prix at Laguna Seca to further increase his lead in the MotoGP World Championship while Valentino Rossi was third only seven weeks after breakinbg his leg.
The Fiat Yamaha rider inherited the lead when Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa crashed out on lap 11 and held station to the flag to open up a 72-point advantage over Pedrosa in the riders' standings.
Second place went to Ducati's Casey Stoner while Lorenzo's team-mate Valentino Rossi claimed the final podium place in just his second race back after breaking his leg seven weeks ago.
Victory moves Lorenzo onto 210 points, with Pedrosa second on 138 and his Honda team-mate Andrea Dovizioso, who finished fourth, in third on 115.
Lorenzo's sixth win of the year came despite the Spaniard losing the lead off the start having lined up on pole.
