WHEELS AT THE VAAL EXPO 2010

An expected 35 000 people will attend the 10th anniversary of one of the biggest outdoor exhibitions - Wheels at the Vaal - Expo 2010 on the banks of the Vaalriver on the North-West University campus from 4th to 5th September 2010.
Wheels at the Vaal 2010 sponsored by HiQ will again take place on the nature rich setting on the green grassy banks of the Vaalriver.
The Expo will again host a fantastic array of vehicles from Vintage, Historical and Classic to modern cars, trucks, tractors, motorbikes, caravans and boats. The outdoor and leisure section will ensure that visitors get real value for money!
The promoter believes that the entertainment and huge display will satisfy the tastes of all lovers of wheels and the outdoor life.
Farmers and farming equipment will be well represented and exhibitors will display from the oldest to the latest equipment! The sound of the historical Lister Diesel engines will be heard and the genuine "Farm yard" where the sound of cream separators will be complimented by the smell of freshly roasted coffee, will prove to be a hit!
Visitors will see the "men from Clanwilliam" demonstrate the art of shoe manufacturing, while goose feather cushions and duvets will be made from freshly plucked feathers!
Sheep sheering, bread-baking, Mampoer distilling, Ironsmith works and many other activities will take place for the joy of the expected 35 000 visitors!
Rugby enthusiasts will feel at home watching the Springboks and Wallabies sort each other out on the big screen TV in the huge beer garden where there will be no shortage of delicious food and drink!
There will be a play park for kids while culture and art will not be forgotten. In fact this will be the biggest "wheels", cultural, agricultural and leisure out-door Expo in the country! 118 fun filled hectares of it!
The Country Music festival on Saturday evening follows a day filled with exciting activities that will kick off with a drum-majorette show early on Saturday morning, followed by sheep sheering, various competitions and much more!
Visitors will enjoy free rides from the secure parking area next to the Expo and back. This will contribute to the joy and make Wheels on the Vaal - Expo 2010 a real experience!
