Petter Solberg makes it 400 WRC stage wins
|
Solberg was 1.6s faster than fellow Citroen DS3 WRC driver Sebastien Ogier to trim Jari-Matti Latvala’s advantage to 12.1s.
Latvala was third fastest through the stage, with Ford team-mate Mikko Hirvonen fourth and world championship leader Sebastien Loeb fifth.

Stage description:
By Petter Solberg World Rally Team co-driver Chris Patterson: “This is one of the old classic Argentina stages and has certainly been used every year I’ve been here. Some drivers seem to love it, some seem to hate it. It’s incredibly narrow and very, very tricky. There are a lot of tiny stone walls as you climb up the mountain. It’s uphill all the way, no downhill at all and a huge climb right to the top up onto the mountain. It’s relentless, twisty with no straights or fast sections. I don’t enjoy the stage but some people do.
