PMC RALLYSPRINT 11 FEBRUARY AND THE 2012 SPRINT SERIES

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
As most of you know PMC will host a sprint on the 11th of February 2012.
This specific sprint will form part of the 2012 Sprint Club Championship but will NOT include the Champion of Champions race to finalise the 2011 season as we are currently busy negotiating a sponsorship and they requested that we give them a week or so more to decide on the matter and to use the Champion of Champions race as an opener!
We intend limiting the series to 6 events this year and will also endeavour to negotiate with the Regional Rally commission to see if we can work with them towards a better plan and goal?
We are looking forward to start a brand new series and will also make the tracks as consumer friendly as possible and try to draw more beginners to the events.
MEETING BEFORE EVENT:
We (PMC) would also like to organise a meeting of as many as possible competitors and clubs to discuss the way forward and to try and get rallying going on grass-root level.
You will all agree that there is a serious lack of incentives for newcomers to enter the sport and I believe that the time has arrived that we look at a new beginning and that we set down definite plans instead of being involved in continuous bickering and silly political infighting without making any progress.
I believe that we need to take a serious look at ourselves and regroup to get the ball rolling!
If there are enough persons interested – we can hold a meeting on Saturday the 11th February – say from 08h00 to 10h00 and start the sprint a bit later?
We can always add or drop one run should we run out of time. It will be beneficial for you to come listen to a few persons discussing the advantages of what we have in mind.
If enough people cannot make it on Saturday we will arrange another date and let you all know. It is however important that we take stock and work together to sort out the problems only you can resolve.
The intended dates for the Sprint series should be published by the end of February 2012.
